Project Description

This tongued and grooved 1930’s oak flooring was diverted on its way to the skip on a refurbishment job. It took a lot of work to clean up as it was riddled with heavy staples where hard board had been over laid. Eventually we cleaned a sufficient amount to put through the thicknesser and then bevelled the edges of the boards before laying in their new home. The boards were finished with several coats of yacht varnish with the two final coats having a satin sheen. Billy the labrador thinks they are very comfortable.
